Create a free online account so you can manage your credit freeze. Please use Google Chrome as the browser. Safari will not work.
If you have an existing account, sign in to your account. If you don’t remember your user name or password click on the “Need help signing in” link to get your user name or reset your password.
If you need further assistance creating your account or logging in to your account call 800-685-1111, say log in assistance, this will take you directly to an agent.
Once you login to your member dashboard please click on the "Freeze" button to view your freeze status. If it is frozen click on the "Manage Credit Freeze" option to lift or remove your credit freeze.

If you failed the security questions you can view your Equifax report on Credit Karma if you have an existing account. Then call back and it will be like an open book test. As they ask the questions from your report you will have the answers right in front of you. If you do not have an existing account the freeze will block you from creating a new account.
Once you have successfully answered the authentication questions your credit freeze will be lifted or removed from Equifax.

Equifax offers a fax option (888) 826-0598, fax in your request with proof of identity.

- Social security card or passport
Mail Option (Estimated time to lift or remove 5-7 days)
You may download and print the proper forms to lift or remove your credit freeze.
